Chad Joseph Lackey, 23, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Bedford, Texas. Chad was born on August 08, 1997 in Pasadena, California to David Lackey and Brenda Gatlin. Chad had been a longtime resident of the Grapevine/ Southlake area where he was a graduate of Southlake Carroll High School. Growing up Chad was very active with Boy Scouts of America, at age 16 he started his own company, DJ Lackswag where he was a disc jockey and sound engineer/producer.
Chad was preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Madolyn Mary Lackey and Evelyn Lenore Gatlin.
He is survived by his parents, David Lackey and wife, Marjorie; Brenda Gatlin and Fiancé, Dan Gillette; brother, Dylan Lackey; grandfathers, Harold Lackey and James Gatlin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private graveside services were held on Sunday, October 04, 2020 at Mount Vernon City Cemetery in Mount Vernon, TX.
