Velma Vaudine (Sigler) Woodle

Velma Vaudine (Sigler) Woodle, 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at her home in Bogata, TX. She was born April 26, 1934, to Alton and Narnie (Byford) Sigler in Shelby, TX. She married Paul P. Woodle on April 11, 1951. They were married for 50 years at the time of his passing in 2001.

Velma is survived by one daughter, Joyce Shelton, grandchildren: Jeannia Trussell (Jimmy), Leahanne Garcia (Cuper), Melanie Earley (Chris), Joey Fincher, Wayne Woodle, Danny Fincher, Amanda Shelton, and Matthew Woodle; great grandchildren: Jimmy and Jadyn Trussell, Ryan, Tori, Kamryn, and Jace Garcia, Carmen, Chloe, and Trinity Fincher, Jacob Thomas (Amanda), Caleb Thomas, Adisyn Leija (Leo), and Elias Woodle; great, great-grandchildren: Madileighn Hood, as well as several special nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, and son, Larry Woodle, daughter, Wanda Fincher (Roy), son-in-law, Terry Shelton, and great grandson, Gabriel Woodle.

She loved big and you felt it each time you saw her or talked to her. Velma was a positive person and would remind you to do what Jesus would want you to do.

As we mourn the loss of our mom and Memaw, we invite family and friends to pay their respects and celebrate Velma's life. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Aguilar Funeral Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Graveside Service will be held at the McCrury Cemetery at a later date.

So many helped her and the family in her last months, and we will forever be grateful.

Velma's memory will live on, and she will greatly be missed.
