Tribute Thomas Marion Carruth, Jr., age 70, of Talco, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Clarksville, Texas. Thomas was born on September 23, 1948 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to the late Thomas Marion, Sr. and Rachel Jacobs Carruth. Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Thomas married Lee Anna Barton on October 10, 2005. Together they would spend the next 10 years raising a family and living a lifetime of memories. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2015. Thomas was a master carpenter. He owned and operated his own company - TMC Construction. Thomas was also a skilled mechanic and jack of all trades. There was nothing that he could not fix or build when he set his mind to it. Those who knew Thomas the best will remember his sense of humor and the love he had of searching for arrow heads, hunting and fishing. Thomas is survived by one son, Thomas Marion Carruth, III of Purley, Texas; five daughters, Donde Lander of Biloxi, Mississippi, Lori Fort, and husband Edward, of Horatio, South Carolina, Kimberly Carruth of Purley, Marie Nuziard, and husband Chase, of Burleson, Texas, and Ida Mitchell of Talco, Texas; by one sister, Marilyn Smith of Blodgett, Texas; and by a host of grandchildren and other relatives and very special friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. 220 US Highway 67, Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455.
