Terry Lynn (Taylor) Flanagan

Tribute

Terry Lyn Flanagan, 74, passed away on February 12, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.  She was born on July 11, 1946 to Donald W. Tunnell and Norma (Lindsay) Tunnell in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Terry was raised in Chickasha, Oklahoma where she attended grade school, junior high school and up to her junior year of high school there.  While she attended CHS she was a cheerleader and served as the Basketball Queen.  In 1962 her family moved to Great Bend, Kansas where she graduated high school.

Terry had been a resident of Mount Vernon since 2000, was the Minister of Music's secretary at First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon where she and her husband, Rick had sung in the choir for many years.  Terry's greatest love was her family, she was very passionate about her animals and if you knew Terry you knew she was a fashionista.

Terry was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Flanagan and her parents, Norma and Robert Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Robertson Marino and husband, Dale of Shreveport, Louisiana, Marilynda Kuehn Townsend and husband, Andrew of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert Clay Robertson and wife, Regina of Norman, Oklahoma, Josh Flanagan and wife, Keisha of Marshall, Texas and Mandy Flanagan of Greenville, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Don Taylor of Kemah, Texas and Randy Taylor of Tomball, Texas; one sister, Rhonda Robertson of Grapevine, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 06, 2021 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church Mount Vernon.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials to be made to First Baptist Church Music Ministry Dpt., 319 Kaufman St., Mount Vernon, TX 75457.
