Tawnee Conners

Tribute Tawnee Michelle Conners, age 34, of Idabel, Oklahoma, formerly of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away in the late evening hours of Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Idabel, Oklahoma. Tawnee was born on November 11, 1984 in Frankston, Texas to Donald Thomas Conners and Deborah Dial Palmer. She graduated from Bullard High School in 2003. Upon graduation, Tawnee proudly joined the United States Air Force. Tawnee was a free-spirited young lady who loved computers, robots and technology. She enjoyed gazing at the stars, running through open fields looking for wild flowers and cherished being able to embrace the beginning of a new day. To her sister, Tawnee was always the sun and Kam was the moon. She was the bright spot in so many lives, especially her beloved son, Ethan. Her favorite memories centered around him, especially smashing pennies on railroad tracks and eating biscuit and gravy at the Star Café in Henderson. Through her brief life, Tawnee spent time all around Deep East Texas and the Tyler area but also lived in Austin and Pensacola, Florida - where she surrendered her life to her Lord, Jesus Christ. Tawnee was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rusk. Tawnee is survived by her son, Ethan Cooksey, of Tyler; mother, Deborah Palmer, of Tyler; father, Donald Conners, of Jasper County, Texas; sister, Kam Ellis, of Jacksonville, Texas; niece and nephews, Brenden, Landen, and Kaylen Kinder; uncle, Mark Dial; aunt Sherry Dial; and by a host of loving friends. Tawnee was preceded in death by her beloved MeMaw and PaPaw, Miller and Daphne Dial, and by one cousin Brittany Dial. Memorial services for Tawnee Michelle Conners will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Rose Heights Church, 2120 Old Omen Rd, in Tyler, Texas A private family service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery near Mount Pleasant, Texas .
