Obituary

Samuel Piza Garcia, of Mount Pleasant, entered the arms of God on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born in Xaltanguis, GRO, MX on June 28, 1967, to Juana Piza and Manuel Garcia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, David Garcia.

Survivors include his siblings, Maria de Pillar Garcia, Carlos Garcia and wife, Gloria, Manuel Garcia and wife, Sara, Martha Garcia and husband, Eugene Hipolito, Leticia Garica and husband Saul Contreras, Jose Alberto Garcia and wife, Guadalupe, Araceli Zuniga and husband, Secundio, Sergio Garcia and wife, Ruby, Melina Garcia and husband, Francisco; 30 nieces and nephews, as well as lifelong friends, Rafael De La Cruz, Felix De La Cruz, and Esteban De La Cruz.

Samuel will be remembered as a caring person. He never missed an opportunity to help family and friends. He especially loved his nieces and nephews. Spending time with them, talking with them and bonding with them meant everything to him.

He was a funny guy that enjoyed laughing while watching social media and YouTube videos. Samuel also enjoyed eating his favorite meal, a pizza and drinking beer. He also could be seen at a celebration, enjoying music, on the dance floor.

Family and friends will gather to honor Samuel for a Velorio at the Aguilar Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 24, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and continuing into the next morning until 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass will be held at the St. Michael Catholic Church on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Panteon Municipal in Xaltianguis, GRO, MX.

Samuel Piza García, residente de Mount Pleasant, pasó a la presencia de Dios el sábado 18 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 59 años. Nació en Xaltianguis, Guerrero, México, el 28 de junio de 1967, hijo de Juana Piza y Manuel García.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su hermano, David García.

Le sobreviven sus hermanos: María del Pilar García; Carlos García y su esposa Gloria; Manuel García y su esposa Sara; Martha García y su esposo Eugene Hipólito; Leticia García y su esposo Saúl Contreras; José Alberto García y su esposa Guadalupe; Araceli Zúñiga y su esposo Secundio; Sergio García y su esposa Ruby; Melina García y su esposo Francisco; así como 30 sobrinos y sobrinas, y sus amigos de toda la vida: Rafael De La Cruz, Félix De La Cruz y Esteban De La Cruz.

Samuel será recordado como una persona cariñosa. Nunca perdía la oportunidad de ayudar a familiares y amigos. Sentía un cariño especial por sus sobrinos y sobrinas; pasar tiempo con ellos, conversar y fortalecer los lazos familiares significaba todo para él.

Era un hombre divertido que disfrutaba riendo mientras veía videos en redes sociales y YouTube. A Samuel también le encantaba comer su platillo favorito —pizza— y beber cerveza. Asimismo, se le podía ver en las celebraciones disfrutando de la música y bailando en la pista.

Familiares y amigos se reunirán para honrar a Samuel en un velorio que se llevará a cabo en la funeraria Aguilar Funeral Chapel el viernes 24 de julio de 2026, comenzando a las 6:00 p. m. y extendiéndose hasta las 11:00 a. m. de la mañana siguiente. La Santa Misa se celebrará en la iglesia católica St. Michael el sábado 25 de julio de 2026 a las 12:30 p. m. Sus restos descansarán en el Panteón Municipal de Xaltianguis, Guerrero, México.
