Patsy Nell
Woolfolk

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, the family of Patsy “Pat” Nell Woolfolk , 83, of Mount Vernon, announces her passing on May 9, 2026.
Pat was born on May 13, 1942, in Athens, TX, to the late L.J. and Lillie (Robertson) Woolfolk. Raised in Malakoff as the youngest of four children, she developed the spirited personality that would define her life.
Affectionately known as “Nana” and “Nanny”, Pat was truly one of a kind. She was widely known for her feisty personality, her quick wit, and blunt honesty. Her greatest accomplishment was the family she loved so deeply. Nothing brought Pat greater joy than her family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of her life. While her presence will be missed every day, her legacy lives on in the generations she helped shape. Her family finds great comfort in knowing she passed peacefully, surrounded by those she loved most.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her three siblings, Bobby Lindamood, Beverly Ray Lindamood, and Ruby Leath; and her son-in-law, Jeff Guthrie. Pat is survived by her devoted children: Mandy Duke of Henderson; Melinda Guthrie of Mount Vernon; and Chris James and wife Susie of Mount Vernon; her cherished grandchildren: Jacob Guthrie (Jessica), Garrett Guthrie (Dominique), Dylan Duke, Dalton Duke (Kellie), Katelyn Whitehead (Zane), and Jesse James (Cheyanne); and ten beloved great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Chambers Hospice, with a special thank you to Diamond Williams and Heather Dill. The compassionate care and genuine love that was shown to Pat and her family provided them with immense peace during her final days.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23 at Fuquay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Chambers Hospice or a charity of your choice in Pat’s honor.
