Obituary

Olga Lidia Alonso Fernandez of Pittsburg entered the arms of God, on Tuesday, March 9, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born in Cicneguilla, Poanas Durango, Mexico on March 30, 1960, to Antonia (Fernandez) and Ricardo Alonso.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Javier Salazar, children, Janet Salazar and husband, Jose Diaz, Jomayra Salazar and husband, Francisco Aguilar, and Javier Salazar, Jr.; grandchildren, Jose Diaz, Jr., Jocelyn Diaz, Brian Perez, Geraldine Aguilar, Hillary Aguilar, Aylin Aguilar, and Francisco Javier Aguilar; siblings, Juana Alonso, Guillermo Alonso, Constantino Alonso, Tomasa Alonso and Alicia Alonso; as well numerous nieces and nephews.

Olga was a loving mother and grandmother. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her face would light up whenever she saw them. Being their grandmother meant the world to her.

She was a woman of many talents. She was a great cook. Her family mentioned that she made great enchiladas, and they enjoyed the times when she cooked for them. She also loved to paint and spent her quiet time making art. She also was a beautician and cut hair.

Family and friends will gather to honor Olga at the Velorio on Thursday, March 12, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Aguilar Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Ogla will be laid to rest at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Olga Lidia Alonso Fernández de Pittsburg entró en los brazos de Dios el Martes 9 de Marzo de 2026, a la edad de 65 años. Nació en Cicneguillar, Poanas Durango, México, el 30 de Marzo de 1960.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Antonia Fernández y Ricardo Alonso.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Javier Salazar; sus queridos hijos, Janet Salazar y su esposo José Díaz, Jomayra Salazar y su esposo Francisco Aguilar, y Javier Salazar Jr.; sus nietos, José Díaz Jr., Jocelyn Díaz, Brian Pérez, Geraldine Aguilar, Hillary Aguilar, Aylin Aguilar y Francisco Javier Aguilar; sus hermanos, Juana Alonso, Guillermo Alonso, Constantino Alonso, Tomasa Alonso y Alicia Alonso; así como numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Olga fue una mamá y abuela muy amorosa. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos y su rostro se iluminaba cada vez que los veía. Ser abuela significaba todo para ella. Olga fue una mujer de muchos talentos. Su profesión de estilista le daba la oportunidad de usar su talento en los cortes de sus clientes. Ella era una excelente cocinera, su familia disfrutaba mucho cuando cocinaba para ellos especialmente sus enchiladas. Le gustaba pintar y crear arte cuando tenía tiempo libre. Su familia y amigos extrañaran todos los momentos que pasaron con ella.

Familiares y amigos se reunirán para honrar la memoria de Olga en su velatorio el jueves 12 de Marzo de 2026, a partir de las 5:00 p.m., en Aguilar Funeral Chapel. La Misa Funeraria se celebrará el viernes 13 de Marzo de 2026, a las 10:00 a.m., en la iglesia Holy Cross Catholic Church en Pittsburg. Olga será sepultada en el cementerio Rose Hill en Pittsburg.
