Nicolasa (Dominguez) Jasso

Nicolasa (Dominguez) Jasso, of Bogata, entered the arms of God on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on September 10, 1941, to Marta (Martinez) and Pomposo Dominguez.

She is reunited in death with her husband, Justo Jasso, infant daughter, Socorro Jasso, her parents and oldest granddaughter, Krystal Valenzuela.

She leaves behind her beloved family to cherish her memories, children, Juana Valenzuela, Tony Jasso, Rosie Jasso-Wolfe and husband, Cody, and Norma Jasso and wife, Dr. Alison Schmidt; two grandchildren, Julian Torres and Camille Torres; siblings, Zaragoza Dominguez, Erasmo Dominguez, and Ernestina Zubia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Nicolasa will be remembered for showing family and friends her love through cooking. She was known to feed everyone that visited her home. She would ensure that all left with full hearts and bellies.

As a home maker, she took her job seriously. Caring for her family and fulfilling her motherly responsibilities were all done with love and affection.

Nicolasa could also be seen in her flower beds tending to her plants and flowers. Her family recalls how she would light up when gifted any type of blooms. Additional hobbies included the art of embroidery and making patchwork quilts. 

She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, August 10th at the Aguilar Funeral Chapel from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 11th at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am. The Rites of a Christian Burial will follow at the Bogata Cemetery.
