Martha Bentz

Tribute Martha Ann Bentz, age 87, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Hughes Springs, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Monday, May 13, 2019 at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Mount Vernon. Martha was born in Cass County, Texas on July 17, 1931 to the late Dewey and Essie Willie Stuckey Roberts. Following high school, Martha attended college. Eventually she began working for a period of time for an insurance company, but most people will remember the time she spent working in nursing homes, caring for those around her. Martha was a Godly woman who was devoted to her time in scripture and prayer. She loved telling others of God and she tried diligently to lead those around her to Christ. Martha is survived by two sons, Terry Parker, and wife Kathy, of Mount Vernon and Danny Floyd, and wife Patty, of Dallas. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relative and very special friends. She was also preceded in death by three children. Funeral services for Martha Ann Bentz will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2109 at Cameron Family Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens near Texarkana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday morning. . Service Details.
