Mark Douglas
Sharpin
November 11, 1952 – May 16, 2026
Mark Douglas Sharpin, of Mount Vernon, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born in Gary, Indiana on November 11, 1952, to James and Dolores Sharpin.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda Lou Sharpin, daughters, Lisa Sharpin and Jessica Donohoe; brothers, Thomas Sharpin, Dennis Sharpin, Randy Sharpin and Robert Sharpin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark honorably served our country in the 70’s as a member of the United States Air Force.
After his military service, he proudly worked for TX Utilities as a heavy machine operator at Winfield North for over 20 years. Later he moved to Wyoming and became owner of Dugan’s Bar & Grill in Pine Haven, Wyoming. Later he owned Dugan’s Hot Shot business and traveled all over the country.
He enjoyed working in his yard and was always ready to help his neighbors and friends with theirs, not to mention his daughters who will greatly miss that.
As a man of faith, he attended worship services at the Blodgett Church of Christ.
Mark really enjoyed laughing and was the King of Dad jokes.
So in his honor, he requested, as a memorial contribution; be kind, be helpful, tell a joke, laugh often and attend worship services.
