Marie Leslie Etsitty, 69, passed away on August 06, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.  Marie was born on December 01, 1951 to James Leslie Etsitty and Helen (Yazzie) Etsitty.

Marie had been a longtime resident of Mount Pleasant where she had been a homemaker.  She received her degree in nursing from Brigham Young University and went on to attend the University of San Diego. Marie attended Purley Baptist Church with her family.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Louise Lewis and brother, Benjamin Barney.

She is survived by her daughters, Verna Ann Marlona and  Stephanie Lynn Mariano and husband, Tony of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Stevens of Cedar City, UT, Ethel Stevens Paaz of Mexican Springs, NM, Cecilia Leeboy of Blanding, UT, and Leslie Ann Hunt of Blanding, UT; brothers, Benson Barney of Mexican Springs, NM, Jesse Barney of St. Michaels, AZ, and Jasper Barney of Montezuma Creek, UT.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6-8PM at Collvins Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2:00PM at Purley Cemetery in Purley, TX.
