Lucy Alani Becerril, of Mount Pleasant, gained her angel wings on Thursday, March 12, 2026. She was born on Thursday, March 12, 2026, to Cecilia Ivon Alaniz and Jorge Becerril.

From the time she made her presence known, Lucy was a fighter. She held on as long as she could so that her mom and dad could meet and hold her. And even though she was only a few hours old, Lucy’s family will never forget her lasting impact.

She is survived by her mom and dad, Cecilia Alaniz and Jorge Becerril, brother, Jorge Andy Becerril, maternal grandparents, Jesus and Rosa Alaniz, paternal grandparents, Jorge and Belen Becerril, aunts, Erika Alaniz, and Cindy Becerril, uncles, Jesse Alaniz and wife, Jackie, Rodrigo Becerril and wife, Erica and Hugo Becerril, cousins, Adamaris Alaniz, Anahi Alaniz and Aziel Alaniz, as well as numerous extended family.

We will hold you in our hearts, until we can hold you again, in heaven.

Family and friends will gather to honor Lucy with a time of Visitation at the Aguilar Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and Lucy will be laid to rest out at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, TX.
