Lajuanda (Christenberry) Depue

LaJuanda (Christenberry) DePue, of Mount Vernon, entered the pearly gates of heaven on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on May 27, 1940, in Pickton, Texas to her proud parents, Katherine (O'Dell) and Dial Christenberry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dial and Katherine Christenberry, brother, Ennis Christenberry and daughter, Kimberly Bennett.

Survivors include her beloved children, Bryan Bennett, Kelly Thomas and husband, Bob, and Sloan Bennett and wife, Leah; grandchildren, Taylor Ward and wife, Ashli, Kimberly Thomas, Jessica Thomas, Carlee Bennett, Tyler Bennett, Cheyenne Bennett; great grandchildren, Haygen, Kara, Kylie, Riley, and Samson.

LaJuanda was a hard-working woman that valued time spent with her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished the memories that were made with them. LaJuanda will be forever in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.

Family and friends will gather for a Visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at the Pine Forest Cemetery.
