Kirk D Smith

Kirk Deverle Smith, 54, passed away on February 17, 2022 in Mount Vernon, TX.  He was born on December 01, 1967 in Lubbock, Texas to Hollis Royce Smith and Glenda Gay (Lowallen) Smith.  His family moved to Irving where Kirk attended schools and was a graduate of Irving High School class of 1986.  Kirk went onto to become a radio disc jockey retiring from Super Country radio station in Hope, Arkansas.  He served many years as a sports commentator for local schools as well as a football coach.  He enjoyed making Native American artwork and was a rescue recovery dog trainer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis an Glenda Smith.  Kirk is survived by his two daughters, Cheyenne Smith and Willow Smith both of Dallas; former wife and caretaker, Marlo Moore of Mount Vernon; and sister, Hollye Scarborough of Tennessee.
