Juanita VanHooser, age 54, of Talco, Texas, passed away on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born on October 17, 1971, in Acuña, Mexico, to Guillermo and Rosario Cassio.
She married the love of her life, Travis VanHooser, and together they shared 32 wonderful years of marriage built on love, faith, and devotion. As a proud and devoted mother, Juanita's greatest joy were her children: Jasmine Mercedes, Mark VanHooser and his wife Lydia, Nikki VanHooser, and Kayla VanHooser. She cherished every moment with them and found even greater joy in being a grandmother to her twelve grandchildren: Emily, Mia, Cloey, Jedediah, Charlie, Aubrey, Millie, Nathaniel, Delilah, Athena, Ella, and Draven.
Her family was the light of her life, and she poured endless love into each one of them. Juanita also had a true gift for nurturing life, not only in her family but also in her passion for growing plants and flowers. Her home and garden were always full of color and beauty, reflecting the love and care she gave to everything she touched. She shared this love with her family, teaching them to find joy and peace in watching things grow.
She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her strength, and her boundless love. Juanita was the heart of her family—a woman whose laughter, guidance, and encouragement touched everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the blooming flowers she planted and, most of all, in the hearts of her family.
Juanita is survived by her beloved husband, Travis VanHooser; her children and spouses; her cherished grandchildren; her parents, Guillermo and Rosario Cassio; her brother Filiberto Cassio and wife Irma; her sisters Sonia Ayala and husband Ruben, Mercedes Marroquín and husband Roberto, and Tabitha Cassio and husband Juan Valdez.
