John Edward Campbell took his last breath on earth on November 22, 2021 only to open his eyes to see his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He was born March 14, 1936, the third child to Edwin Arthur and Minnie Myrtle Greer Campbell.  He was raised in the union community, south of Sulphur Springs.

After finishing school in Sulphur springs, he enlisted in the United States Army stationed the majority of his 3 years enlistment at Fort Carson, Colorado.  This is where he grew to love the mountains. They were married March 21, 1969 at their home in Sulphur Springs. They continued to work there until it closed in 1986. He spent most of his vacations with his wife riding the backroads and trails on motorcycles in the Rocky Mountains.

Later, they started the Brushy Creek Ranch where they raised Texas Longhorns until the dementia started to take his mind and his body.

In 2004, John rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. He joined Grace Baptist church and was a faithful member until the disease made it impossible for him to attend.
