IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer J.
Boyd
September 25, 1970 – March 25, 2026
Jennifer Jeanette Boyd, 55, of Bogata, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
Jennifer was born to Norman Vandiver and Barbara (Vandiver) Holder on September 25, 1970, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She attended school in Winfield, Texas, and Mt. Vernon High School.
Jennifer worked as an EMT and dispatcher for the Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. After a move to Arlington, Texas, she worked as a dispatcher for American Medical Response in Arlington, Texas.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Holder, and granddaughter, McKenzie Bryan. Her loving family survives her: Norman and Peggy Vandiver, son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Missy Bryan, daughter, Lacey Bryan grandchildren, Keaton, Kinslee and Kalynn Brannon, Haven and Heidi Bryan, brothers and sisters-in-law Jeff and Carol Vandiver, Jason and Heather Holder, Donna and Gulmaro Herrera, Darion Frazier, along with aunts, uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jennifer had a compassionate heart and a love for helping others. She was able to calmly work through a crisis and provide lifesaving information to many people in their most helpless moments. Her gift went far beyond professional duty; she had a unique ability to engage with families in crisis, offering a rare blend of strength and tenderness that made the unbearable feel manageable. Jennifer didn’t just answer calls- she used words of hope and courage to ease the grief and worry of others.
Being a grandmother (Meme) kept Jennifer busy. Her grandson, Keaton, lived with her. Attending sports and school activities for the grandchildren was always a fun time. Jennifer enjoyed living in a small community where people love and help one another, and friendships last a lifetime.
During the last few years, as her health declined, her daddy and two brothers were blessed to spend more time with Jennifer, traveling to treatments and different appointments. She was proud to tell everyone that they took care of her; however, many times Jennifer took care of them. She was tougher on the inside than all of them, and they knew it.
Jennifer loved laughter and spending time with her family and friends. During the difficult times, laughter became even more important. She knew that laughter cured a lot of pain.
The family would like to thank Chambers Hospice, the staff at Greenhill Villas, and a special thanks to Robin Stansell, who went above and beyond to help the family during this difficult time.
Any donations can be made to Chambers Hospice in memory of Jennifer.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
