Jasmine Maekala Wimberly, lovingly nicknamed, "Jay," or "Jay Bird," by her family, entered the world on December 4, 1998, to parents, Celeste Rosebud-Wimberly and Michael E. Wimberly.
Growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, Jasmine showcased a free spirit. She had a smile that would light up a room and always exuded positive energy. Jasmine brought a spark of joy with her bubbly personality, reminding us of all that life's greatest moments are meant to be cherished and savored, rather than too seriously.
At the age of 13, Jasmine relocated to Texas with her mother, Celeste. She was always determined to be great. She graduated from Canyon High School in Texas in 2017. Throughout her career, she demonstrated a deep passion for healthcare, having worked as a CNA and recently earning her phlebotomy certification.
Throughout her adult life, Jasmine maintained her vibrant spirit, embracing moments by the river, attending concerts, and cherishing time with her pet snake, Ezekiel. Jasmine served as a bright light in everyone's life, her journey resembled that of a butterfly – spreading its wings wide open to fully experience everything life had to give.
She is preceded in death by her uncle, James Rosebud and fiancé, Caleb Mashburn.
Survivors include her mother Celest Rosebud-Wimberly, father Michael Wimberly and wife, Wanda, siblings, Danielle Kelley, Akishia Wimberly and Maurice Wimberly; aunts, Debbie Rosebud-Dennis and Angela Duncan; uncles, Tyrone Rosebud, Phillip Rosebud and wife, Marie, Steffon Rosebud and wife, Amy and Darrel Rosebud, as well as an abundance of cousins, relatives and friends.
