Garrett Lane Lappin, of Mount Vernon, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the age of 34. He was born on November 11, 1989, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Kimberly (Shipman) and Jay Lappin.
Garrett is preceded in death by his father, Jay Lappin, paternal grandfather, Jessie Lappin, maternal grandfather, Bill Shipman and niece, Scottie Lappin.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Britnee N. Lappin, children, Lillian, Cooper, Erik, Isaiah and Simon, mother, Kimberly Lappin, brother, Levi Lappin and wife, Juleigh, nephews, Jaxx and Olliver, paternal grandmother, Sarah Lappin, maternal grandmother, Gladys Shipman, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Garrett was a small-town guy with a big heart. He loved spending time with his family. Abiding by God's word on how to be a man, husband and father was extremely important to him. He was a fabulous husband that adored on his wife and amazing father. Garrett's family meant the world to him, and he loved them wholeheartedly. He was a, "give you the shirt off his back," type of person, giving and kind. His family and friends will keep his memory alive, and Garrett will forever be in their hearts.
Family and friends will gather for A Celebration of Life to honor Garrett on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Meadow Park Church (707 TX Hwy 37 S, Mount Vernon, TX 75457).
