Donnie Rushing

Donnie Max Rushing, 58, passed away on January 10, 2020 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was born on April 12, 1961 to Donald and Dora Jean (Dawson) Rushing in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Donnie was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and Northeast Texas Community College where he had received his Associates Degree. Donnie retired from the US Navy where he was a flight engineer after 19 years of service. Upon retiring from the Navy he worked six years as a electrician for US Steel Lone Star until his retirement in 2018. Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Rushing and Brothers Mike Lilley and Shane Strickland. He is survived by Mother Dora Jean Banks of Winfield, TX; three daughters, Cassie Loveless of Flint, TX, Brittany Rushing of Georgia, Ashley Rushing of Longview, TX; one son, Bradley Rushing of Longview, TX.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Strickland of Mt. Vernon, TX, and Barry Johnson of Texarkana, AR.; and one sister, Tina Payne of Mt. Pleasant, TX.
