Christopher Thomas Baird

July 18, 1984 — July 19, 2025

Mount Vernon, Texas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Christopher Thomas Baird, Saturday, July 19, 2025, he was only 41 years old. C.T. was born on July 18, 1984, in Tyler, Texas, to Kelly and Lynda Baird.

C.T. Is survived and missed by his loving parents Kelly and Lynda Baird of Mount Vernon; daughter Keylee Baird of Mount Vernon; sisters Kristy Baird and Kristal Williams and her husband B.J.; nephews Bryson Porter of College Station and Hayden Baird of Mount Vernon; niece Olivia Baird of Annapolis Maryland; girlfriend Geri Ann Mears of Mount Vernon and her daughters Kamryn, Karly and Paisley Mears, along with countless friends who loved him wholeheartedly.

C.T. was a long-time employee of Tri-County Construction, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. It was not only his place of employment, but it was also a place where his coworkers became like family to him. C.T. was a loving man who would help you anytime you needed. But with that help may come a rant on where you went wrong in needing him in the first place, as he was unashamedly honest.

C.T. had a thirst for life and could often be found in the middle of a crowd, making sure everyone was having a good time.

He is preceded by his grandparents, Homer and Janey Baird, Elvis and Marchetta Bone, and uncle and best friend Jim Baird.

Our family is deeply saddened by his death, and C. T. will be remembered for the rest of eternity. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will gather for the Visitation on Saturday, July 26, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m., and the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Aguilar Funeral Chapel. C. T. will be laid to rest at the Paron Cemetery, in Hawkins, TX.

The Pallbearers will be: Hendrick Post, Colby Deal, Jesse James, Dustin Medders (Smedders), Adam Proctor, and Derek Hendrix (Biscuit).

On behalf of his mother and me, we would like to thank each and every one of you who are here with us today, and all of those who have reached out in any way during this time. Your presence, your prayers, and your love mean more than words can ever express.

There are no words that can truly capture the pain of losing a child. There is no roadmap for navigating this kind of grief. And yet, in this sorrow, we gather to celebrate the incredible life of our son, C.T.—a life that brought light, laughter, and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

From the moment he was born, C.T. had a special bond with his mother—so much so that his siblings would quickly tell you he was definitely a "Mama's boy." But more than that, he was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a teammate, and a helper.

He loved deeply—and he was deeply loved in return.

If you were lucky enough to be part of C.T.'s circle of friends, you knew you could depend on him for anything. His loyalty was fierce, his love was BIG, and when he showed up, he gave you everything he had. And if you happened to end up on his bad side—well, that was pretty big too. He lived with intensity, with honesty, and with a heart that held nothing back.

Even in the middle of this heartbreak, we choose gratitude. We are thankful for the years we had, for the memories we made, for the laughter that still echoes in our minds and the stories we will tell for the rest of our lives. His time with us was too short—far too short—but the impact he made will ripple through lifetimes.

We will speak his name often and proudly. We will celebrate him in our stories, in our prayers, and in the way we treat others—with the same big-hearted love that he gave so freely.

C.T., you are loved beyond measure. Missed beyond words. And remembered beyond time.

We carry you with us—always.
