Carla Donne (Russell) Smith

It's with great sadness that the family of Carla D. Smith announces her passing on Wednesday, September 7, 22 in Sulphur Springs, Tx at the age of 61. She was born June 27, 1961, in Lubbock, Tx to Paul and Billie Russell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Russell and fiancé, Matthew Wilkerson.

She is survived by her mother, Billie Russell, son Dalton Kitts, daughter and son-in-law, Shana and Justin Wallace, sister and brother-in-law, Dana and Tony Harris, nephews Landon Self, and Travis Self and wife Holly Self, along with great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She grew up in the Baptist faith and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Scroggins, Tx. She had a love of being a truck driver and enjoyed driving trucks all over the road, as well as meeting new people and seeing new places.

She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

The Visitation will be held at the Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home and begin on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. The Burial will take place at the Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins, Texas.
