Belva Jean (Fletcher) Weatherly, of Mount Vernon, entered heaven on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the age of 85. She was born on the family farm in Mount Vernon, Texas on November 15, 1938, to Eugene Fletcher and Mildred Fletcher Loving.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Millie Burns, parents Eugene Fletcher and Mildred Loving, beloved husband, Bobby Joe Weatherly and son, Raymond Joe Weatherly.
Survivors include her children, Terry Weatherly and wife, Lois of Mount Vernon, TX, Peggy Weatherly of Mount Vernon, TX, Eric Weatherly and wife, Lynn of Crossroads, TX; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Mary Mortensen of Mount Vernon, TX, James Fletcher of Royce City, TX, Robert Fletcher of Austin, TX, and Randall Fletcher of Austin, TX; as well as a multitude of other family and friends, whom she loved so much.
Belva was a great mother, loving sister, trusted friend, and devout Christian. She loved unconditionally, forgave generously, encouraged fiercely, and shared sacrificially.
Family and friends will gather at the First Baptist Church (319 Kaufman St., Mount Vernon, TX 75457) to honor Belva on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. for the Visitation and the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Belva will be laid to rest at the Stout's Creek Cemetery in Saltillo, Texas.
