Amy Ostertag

Tribute Amy Michelle Ostertag, age 43, of Rockwall, passed away in the late evening hours of Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital. Amy was born the youngest of two children on October 30, 1975 in Dallas, Texas to James Michael and Glenda Jean Orenbaun Ostertag. Amy worked in the accounting department at Brewer Attorneys & Counselors in Dallas. Amy lived her life like so many wished they could, even when physical ailments took their toll. She loved to travel, and truly cherished her time with family and friends. Amy fought through multiple organ transplants but still lived life to its fullest. The few that were privileged to be in Amy's circle were loved fiercely. Her wildly outspoken shell hid a heart of gold and a soft side that Amy rarely let show. Her big heart and cheeky vocabulary will be tragically missed by all who knew her. Amy is survived by her beloved parents; James and Jean Ostertag, of Mount Vernon; one brother, Greg Ostertag, and wife Shannon, of Mount Vernon; fiancé, Chad McDonald of Duncanville; nieces and nephews, Cody Ostertag, Bailey Ostertag, Shelby Ostertag, Charlee Ostertag, Trevor Ruelas, and Lily Ruelas; cousin, Richard W. Black of Mount Vernon; life-long best friend, Shawn Jerden of Waxahachie; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends. She was preceded in death by one aunt, Julie Ostertag. Memorial services for Amy Michelle Ostertag will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Cameron Family Funeral Home.
